Q:Since when are we performing FUE hair transplant operations?
We are proudly performing FUE hair transplant operations since 2000.
Q:Which techniques are performed at our hospital?
We only perform the FUE ( Follicular Unit Extraction) method for the hair transplant operations. This technique gives better results compared to the previous technique FUT ( Follicular Unit Transplantation) technique. FUE is the latest technique in hair transplant operations and the patients achieve 100% Natural Look. FUE does not leave any scar on the head as well and does not require a surgical operation. The pain you feel is minimum.
Q:How long does the patient need to stay in Istanbul?
We suggest you to stay in istanbul for 3 days. The first day is for the consultation, the second day is for the operation and the third day is for the first washing and an aftercare session, also your return trip.
Q:How long does a FUE operation take?
The operation usually takes around 5-6 hours mainly. The patient may watch movie or read magazines during the opereation.
Q:Are your doctors specialized on FUE technique?
Our doctors are holding several qualification and certificates on FUE technique and are respected members of ISHRS.
Q:At what stage you will be able to judge the results of the treatment?
After one week: Scabs will fall off. Implanted hair will come to the surface like a stubbly beard.
After one month: The implanted hair strands will begin to fall off as anticipated.
After 3 months: Implanted hair will slowly start to grow.
After 6 months: 75% of the hair transplanted will complete its growth.
After 8 months: Implanted hair will begin to get thicker.
After 12 months: A 100% growth will be achieved and the transplanted hair will take its final shape.
Q:What are the post-operative infection rates of your locations?
We haven’t got any infected patients since we are operating.
Q:Which parts of your hair are considered as donor areas?
We collect the healthy hair follicles mainly from the back of the head. In some rare cases chest hair can also be used. In the FUE operation the head is shaved.
Q:How many grafts do we usually implant?
We can implant from 1000 grafts to 7000 grafts.
Q:Before the operation:
A consultation will be done with the doctor. The patient should not consume alcohol during the last 7 days before the operation. It is dangerous for patients with cardiac problems and hypertension problems to undergo this operation. We don’t recommend an operation in these cases. The patient should eat before the operation.
Q:After the operation:
The head will be covered with bandages which will be replaced the following day. A hat will be worn for 3 days. The head will be cleaned with special lotions and creams everyday for 15 days. Antibiotics may also be used.
Q:What happens if you are unhappy with the treatment or there are complications after the procedure?
We, very frequently, never hear back from our patients after the operation as they become very happy with the result. But, in a case that you are not happy, we will forward your pictures to our doctor and advice on what can be done.
Q:Who would pay for remedial treatment (corrective treatment) and associated costs?
If a mistake has occurred because of the hair transplant operation, another hair transplant operation would take place with no charge and it is our responsibility to pay all your travelling expenses.
Q:How will I communicate with the doctors and other health workers involved in my care?
We have an experienced team who will welcome you at the airport and be with you at every stage of your visit and operation.
Q:What happens if I change my mind at the last minute?
We only require an administration fee of £200 when we schedule your operation dates. This is to secure your operation and accommodation and non-refundable.
